What are the contributing factors?

Pain is usually the last sign of ongoing dysfunction in the body.  For most patients, daily activities is a major source of the pain.  No matter how many times you have treatment, if you continue aggravating movements your pain will always return.  Eliminating the source is crucial to recovery.  Being aware of what exasperates the condition is the first step to prevention.  Unfortunately, some movements are unavoidable (eg: bending forward) therefore we MODIFY.  Our experts will analyze your biomechanical movements and guide you on creating new healthy habits.  Over time, analyzing, eliminating and modifying these factors will lead to long lasting results.

Committing to your homework

A major component on your road to recovery is rehabilitation exercise.  We have to train your body to work efficiently and build strength.  The exercise that we give you is your homework/prescription.  Just like medicine to eliminate illness, it is essential patients stick to their prescribed rehabilitation regimen.  The more you practice, the stronger you will become.  And we can never go wrong with that.

Health is a priority

Now, more than ever, we have become an extremely busy society.  Daily commitments to work, family, friends and errands tend to run our lives.  It is easy to get exhausted from the day-to-day and place your health last.  It is easy to say “there is always tomorrow”.  It is crucial we work to change this mindset and understand that our health is not a choice we can place at the bottom of our to do list.  Our bodies are what allows us to function the day-to-day, and enjoy the fruits of our labor.  We cannot enjoy our hobbies, families, friends, and vacations without it.

Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live.
